SVEEP Fraud: Government seeks total report from Deputy Commissioner Poonch

POONCH: Taking cognizance of “POONCH TODAY” report on SVEEP funds fraud, governor’s grievances cell has called a detailed report from Deputy Commissioner Poonch on the brazen misuse of funds in SVEEP activities. Highly placed sources in the department told “POONCH TODAY”  that on receiving an order from Governor’s grievances cell, DDC Poonch immediately directed the CEO Poonch to give report.  Facing huge pressure, CEO Poonch called his team and discussed ways and means to tackle the issue. CEO also approached Culture officer and asked him to provide his part of record of funds used, but the former failed to give any record of activities and funds used and this shows that huge fraud was taken place. One more shocking fact is that CDPO Poonch also gave huge amount to Culture officer, but failed to get authentic record from the later on funds usage. A CEO office staff member, pleading anonymity, said, “CEO is frustrated on latest development as he has no authentic details of funds used under SVEEP.” Another staff member said, “Daal mein zaror kuch kaal hai. Agar inquiry hui to sab phass gyee”. Although, DC office has sent a report to governor’s cell and it would be interesting to know the details provided by the CEO office staff to government.  The  doubtful attitude of CEO Poonch shows that  something fishy taken place during the SVEEP activities for which a deep inquiry from Anti Corruption bureau is the need of the hour to book those culprits who played havoc with state exchequer.
