POONCH TODAY NEWS
POONCH: The tenure of outgoing CEO Poonch remained in limelight on account of various wrong doings and one of the wrong doing was major SVEEP fraud in which huge financial fraud was taken place with the neck deep involvement of few SVEEP team members. Government money was misused in a brazen way and CEO failed to justify the expenditure incurred in various activities. During his tenure, Education Department suffered a lot as brazen corruption was reported in various blocks on some matters, especially, in RET regularization cases where some teachers-cum clerks earned hugely from RET Teachers on the pretext of “CEO ko bhi share jayega aapki regularization file ka”. Even fake(Questionable) degree candidates were reportedly adjusted in regularization cases by getting huge sums of rupees. It is pertinent to mention here that CEO was facing huge pressure following regular exposure of wrong doings of Education Department Poonch by “POONCH TODAY” and fearing strong action from government, CEO used a top influence in government and managed his transfer out of Poonch. However, few agents of former CEO Poonch in CEO office and various ZEO offices, who took indirect money from various Teachers on RET regularization cases, are stunned with this latest development. Outgoing CEO proved as a liability on department as he did not touch most burning issues of Teachers transfer, GP cases, time bound promotions, Post facto permission, face lifting of schools, inter district transfer cases and tackling huge corruption in the department. Will new CEO prove efficient in settling these issues? Only time will tell as the Education department has suffered due to posting of weak officers at helm mostly. Meanwhile, government is likely to refer the case of SVEEP fraud to Anti Corruption bureau as former CEO has failed to provide a suitable reply to government on SVEEP fraud, when enquired by government
