Will Poonch administration take action against illegal constructions in “No Construction Zone” and near “Poonch fort”?

POONCH: The issue of brazen illegal constructions in “No Construction zone” near S.K bridge and in front of Poonch fort has remained in news most of the time, but unfortunately, tainted officials of district administration never bothered to take action against the culprits. Few tainted officers of administration including few revenue staff walas, used it as an opportunity and managed to indulge in hand in glove activities with those who were involved in such acts. There is a huge resentment against district administration as  people are openly asking why administration failed to take action against open illegal constructions in “No construction zone” area and in front of “Poonch fort.” Hundreds of illegal construction have taken place from Christ school side,  S.K bridge side to Betar side of river.  Even a KAS officer has built his house in the said area, what to talk of illegal encroachers. The weak attitude of administration in tackling these issues has given a wrong signal to the people as they opine that law of the land exists no where in Poonch and this has led the influentially sound people  to indulge in anti law activities. At Poonch fort area, huge illegal Khokhas and illegal constructions have taken place, but no action from administration shows that something is fishy behind the curtains. Will Poonch administration take action against illegal constructions in “No Construction Zone” and near “Poonch fort”? Only time will tell and if administration fails to take action, then people will loose faith in the institution of governance.
