Unexpected behaviour! Violating civil services rules, Police Officer reacts to TV news program in a negative way
POONCH TODAY NEWS
POONCH: The other day, an attempt was made to lodge FIR against a leading Journalist of a national news channel this irked all the nationalist forces of the country that those media platforms who stand with truth and national interest are being targeted everywhere in the country. Even Union law Minister, came into picture and said that those lodging FIR should respect Media freedom. But, in an unexpected behaviour, a senior Police officer of J&K Police, who remained at various important positions and was known for following a particular political party’s ideology, was quick to react on social media. Reacting to that news, the Police officer, without analyzing the facts on merit, made the comment in a negative way. Now, if this is the mindset of a senior Police officer, who without investigating the matter in detail, preferred to show his biased and unwanted anger on social media. His unexpected behavior by violating the civil services rules shows that the said Police officer was also following the ideology of those forces, which always stood against the national interest. Few days back, some KAS officers also did the same unparliamentarily act, first by glorifying wrong forces, and then later tried to target those media platforms who always stand with national interest. It is pertinent to mention here that targeting nationalist forces have become a regular routine from few government officials in J&K UT and silence of security agencies have given such forces more freedom to repeat such acts openly. This also shows one fact that PSC in J&K, over the years recruited a major chunk of unwanted and doubtful integrity people in bureaucracy on the directions of their political masters. Some officers have become a threat for peace as their openly social media comments have enough power to misguide immature minds towards wrong adventures. It is high time that government should bring laws for such government officers who are holding important positions to refrain from making such comments on social media without knowing a,b,c of truth of any issue. Media is free to present truth based on facts and figures and not believes in presenting news which suits the interest of wrong forces. On one hand, J&K Police has won the hearts and minds of people for its professionalism after abrogation of Art 370 and for remarkable performance during COVID-19 operations, but, on the other hand, there are Police officers who are bringing a bad name to the reputation of country’s elite force with their questionable behavior.
