CT Scan machine lying defunct in Raja Sukhdev Singh hospital Poonch; NHM, Medicity authorities in slumber

POONCH: Health Sector in Poonch district is in complete disarray as many important machines are lying defunct in Raja Sukhdev singh hospital and other health centres of Poonch district, but NHM authorities, who gave contract to Medicity company for repairing of machines, are in deep slumber as no efforts was made to rectify faults in such machines. CT Scan machine, which is most important from health point of view is lying defunct  for more than one month, but NHM and Medicity authorities have not moved an inch. Sources told “POONCH TODAY” that Managing Director NHM and Medicity authorities are involved in huge frauds and without rectifying faults in machines in various health centers, huge bills were passed out of the way. Even a top officer in NHM was given a costly gift  by Medicity authorities and it shows that a high level nexus is operating between the office of MD NHM and Medicity  authorities. It is pertinent to mention here that Poonch people got CT scan machine after years of efforts and now, when the machine is defunct, NHM authorities are giving cold shoulder to address this issue. People have also urged government to provide a Radiologist for CT scan machine and also demanded an in-depth inquiry into the poor state of affairs in the office of  MD NHM and  Medicity company, which allegedly have scripted multiple frauds.
