Question mark on RDD Poonch as sports kits announced during B2V3 fail to reach at Panchayat level

POONCH: Rural Development Department Poonch remained in news for various malpractices and in this list, another malpractice has been added and this is related to providing sports kits worth Rs 20,000 per Panchayat as this was announced by government during B2V3 program. It’s a fact that majority of Sarpanches and Panches are not aware of the modus operandi of tainted RDD employees, so they cannot detect frauds of RDD. However, few Panchayats got sports kits, but those kits were having sports items worth Rs two to five thousand only and what happened to remaining amount. Highly placed sources told “POONCH TODAY” that few blue eyed firms were selected and few sports items were purchased form the said firm and only few Panchayats got sports kit and whereabouts of other sports kits are not known. Even during masks distribution, many BDOs withdrew fake bills  and the list of frauds of RDD is huge. Government organized back to village program to listen public grievances at grass root level and the demands put forth by villagers were not addressed properly. During, B2V3 program, demand for sports items and sports infrastructure was raised at various Panchayats across J&K UT, but in Poonch district, majority of Panchayats failed to get any sport kit, but only few Panchayats got  kits, that too incomplete. It shows that RDD officials played foul with an aim of earning money through foul means. A high level inquiry is needed to detect this fraud which was played openly by tainted official of RDD.
