Crooked Health, RDD officials treated COVID as an opportunity to earn money illegally; BMOs, BDO’s, Secy Pyts  hand in glove

POONCH: When the second COVID-19 wave was very active, the government of J&K UT directed district administrations for the opening of COVID care centers at the Panchayat level and in this case, funds were provided to each block, but crooked RDD officials grabbed the opportunity with folded hands and hoodwinked district administration with their false claims. No list of COVID care centers having all facilities including Oxygen concentrators was provided in the public domain. Highly placed sources in RDD told “POONCH TODAY” pleading anonymity that massive compromise was made in purchases. Even, beds were managed from locals of the area, and on paper, RDD officials have shown huge purchases. In the name of facilities in COVID care centers, many BDOs, and concerned secretary Panchayats remained hand in glove and they all initiated activities on paper mostly to loot funds. Even, health department officials managed to withdraw many fake bills in the name of various COVID care facilities. The government, in a clear-cut direction, directed the health department to provide COVID kits to each and every patient, but what happened to the directions of the government in Poonch district is still not known. It shows that RDD and Health department officials including a few BMOs grabbed the opportunity of earning money with folded hands and befooled one and all with their traditional hand-in-glove activities. A high-level inquiry is needed Panchayat-wise, block-wise into misuse of funds on the name of COVID care centers by tainted officials of RDD which included various BDOs and Secy Panchayats. There are huge reports of blunders in Block NSSB, Surankote, Poonch, Bufflaize, Mankote and Balakote. Similar reports are also coming from other RDD blocks. A local, while talking to “POONCH TODAY”, said, “Many people were contacted by RDD officials for providing of beds and bedsheets in addition of some chairs by showing them blue moon of adjusting them in various RDD works, but in reality, RDD officials murdered government exchequer by showing that they made purchases of each and every kind” added “It’s a total fraud in the majority of blocks and those who are involved in this practice during COVID hours must be brought to justice as they murdered taxpayers’ money.” He also said that there are no whereabouts of various Concentrators provided by the government panchayat wise. Only those, who are influential, used to get everything, but common has been deprived of every facility. He demanded an inquiry into the matter and demanded stringent action against corrupt RDD and Health department officials.
