Rajouri: DLC clears 48 FRA claims benefitting 562 eligible families

RAJOURI: District Level Committee on Forests Rights Act cleared 48 claims here at its meeting chaired by District Collector Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan.
After a threadbare discussion and scrutiny of all the claims put up in the meeting, the committee settled 48 cases conferring Forests Rights to 562 families comprising over 3300 population. The rights included the right of grazing, pathways, religious places and schools built over forest land. Another 82 claim cases were returned for completion of formalities, while several other cases are under scrutiny. Deliberating upon the issue, the DC impressed upon the Forest, Revenue and RDD Officers to go for the mapping of the entire area Suo Motto so that not even a single case is left out.
