Mendhar produced IAS officers but vision less Tanki Bathroom leaders failed to construct a good road

MENDHAR: The closure of main BG Surankote highway for twenty days gave huge inconvenience to passengers due to the encounter between security forces and militants and this forced the authorities to divert the traffic via Harni-Mendhar-KG route and this episode has exposed the Mendhar leadership badly as for the last several decades, tanki bathroom mindset Mendhar leadership failed to construct a good road from BG to Mendhar. Horrible condition of the road from BG to Mendhar and from Harni to Jaranwali gali surprised one and all. On one hand, Mendhar produced a large number of IAS/IPS/JKAS/JKPS officers, but on the other hand, poor road infrastructure has shown that Mendhar leadership remained focused only on divided people on Gujjar/Pahari issue and remained neck deep involved in corrupt activities. Good road network is a base for development and this very important aspect of development was ignored badly by Mendhar leadership. Over the years, those leaders who remained at the helm of affairs turned Mendhar into a less developed tehsil because of their arrogance and politics of muscle power. Not paying attention to building a better road infrastructure shows that these leaders proved as a liability on the people of Mender because no concrete efforts were made for laying a strong road network in Mendhar tehsil which is very close to LOC. Over the years, many youngsters cracked prestigious IAS/IPS/JKAS/JKPS exams from Mendhar, but it seems that those who reached top posts in bureaucracy also failed to contribute towards the development of Mendhar. Majority of departments in Mendhar which include PWD, Irrigation and FC, PHE and RDD remained dancing to the tunes of  visionless political leaders of Mendhar and as a result, scripted many scams in several crores. Tehsil Mendhar badly requires a strong road network starting from BG to KG and if these tanki bathroom mindset leaders failed again in developing a good road network, then the future generations will not spare them for having a weak political mindset.
