DDC Rajouri reviews Power, drinking water supply scenario

RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the power and drinking water supply scenario in the district. While taking strong note of complaints being received from the public regarding unscheduled power cuts, the DDC asked the concerned officer from the PDD to look into the matter and make sure that power is supplied to all the households of the district while strictly adhering to the curtailment schedules. He also warned of stern action in case of any laxity in this regard. Similarly, the DDC further said that several complaints are also being received concerning unscheduled water supply which adds to the sufferings of the general public in these inclement weather conditions.
The DDC asked the Jal Shakti Department and PDD to devise an effective strategy to mitigate the sufferings of the common masses and take prompt measures to ensure the time-bound redressal of the genuine concerns regarding water and power supply. He also asked them to make every effort to ameliorate the hardships people are facing in harsh winters.
Keeping in view the increased power demand of the district, the concerned officer Project Wing JPDCL has been directed to install six transformers of 63 KVA and 100 KVA at different locations to mitigate the shortfall.
The meeting was attended by SE PDD, Sandeep Seth; SE Jal Shakti, JP Singh; EXNs, AEEs of the concerned department.
