Eyeing opening of a stone crusher, top engineer wants resources by playing role in transfer of engineers

JAMMU: As exposed by this newspaper that massive bungling were carried out in twin border districts of Panchaldhar by few tainted engineers of PWD,  shockingly no action has been taken by the top brass of PWD against the erring engineers. Although, few were transferred to far away locations, but sources in the office of Chief Engineer PWD Jammu, told “POONCH TODAY”, that behind the curtains efforts are going on with the involvement of a top engineer to effect transfers of engineers in question to their choicest place. As the top engineer has a few months left, he is keen to generate resources by playing his role in the transfer industry as he wants to open a stone crusher.  An year ago, those who were transferred from PWD to PMGSY wing, are playing their role again by indulging in hand in glove influence with the office of chief Engineer Jammu for getting their posting back in PWD and few engineers have managed that. On one hand, tainted engineers were not taken to task for various financial frauds; but on the other hand, they are under consideration of the top chair of providing choicest postings. It shows that government is in a no mood to take to task those tainted engineers who have played a big role in murdering the government exchequer from different works.  Both the twin border districts of Panchaldhar have witnessed massive frauds and out of these frauds, PWD store scam in Rajouri and Nowshera divisions remained on top. In addition to these, out of the way payments made from a few big projects in tehsil Mandi of Poonch district always remained under question. The role of few blue eyed engineers need to be investigated who have enjoyed good tenures  and were involved in scripting big foul plays. Despite knowing fully about various illegal acts, the government has not taken an action against tainted engineers and this shows that from bottom to top in PWD, a big mafia has been working with a sole agenda of earning money, by any means.
