Health department fails to construct a protection wall near the X-ray room in Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital
POONCH TODAY NEWS
POONCH: There is a long list of open frauds in the health department, and in that list comes another open fraud in which the authorities have failed to construct a protection wall near an X-ray room.
For years, nobody in the corridors of power in the Poonch administration tried hard to build a complete protection wall all around Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital. Although an outsized chunk of hospital land was covered by a protection wall, the area near the X-ray room has not been touched, thereby raising a big question mark about the intentions of the top health department officials. It’s a big question mark for hospital authorities, as no effort was made by anybody to completely cover hospital premises from the back side. Even a large chunk of hospital land is still under illegal occupation, and no effort has been made over the years to retrieve the land. Nobody is ready to raise eyebrows at those who are running the state of affairs of the health department, Poonch. This issue is being discussed everywhere in Poonch Town, as locals are raising their eyebrows about the workings of the health department. Hospital authorities, just to throw dust in the eyes of the people and the government, have selected some blue-eyed persons of administration in Rogi Kalyan Samiti who have no knowledge of the health care system, but the authorities used to take them in confidence in some important hospital-related decisions. What were the criteria adopted for the inclusion of members in the said committee, as the majority of them don’t know anything about the functioning of the health department? There is a big question mark on Chief Medical Officer Poonch and Medical Superintendent on the issue of selecting non-professionals in RKS. Locals are of the opinion that few health department officers have taken everything for granted and never allow anybody to come in way of their business interests. On one hand, huge sums of money were given by the government to strengthen health care services in the hospital, but nobody dared to construct a protection wall near the x-ray room to fully block the premises from outside interference, as those health department officials who ruled the department in various capacities are running their various business establishments openly. A high-level inquiry is needed to detect why no protection wall has been constructed near the x-ray room to completely block the hospital premises from outside interference, and in this connection, the silence of the administration is questionable.
