POONCH: In celebration of Independence Day and as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga program, the District Administration Poonch in collaboration with Department of School Education and other departments  organized a vibrant Tiranga Cycle Rally in Poonch. The other day. The event was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary (IAS), from the Sports Stadium Poonch in the presence of ACR Poonch, Qadeer ul Rehman, ADC Poonch, Tahir Mustafa, ADDC Poonch, Sandesh Kumar Sharma, CEO Poonch besides all district Officer and  other distinguished dignitaries.

The rally commenced with the Tiranga pledge by all participants, emphasizing their commitment to national values. Over 350 enthusiastic cyclists And Bikers from various schools in Poonch participated in the rally, which journeyed through the main roads of the town and concluded at Degwar New Bridge located on the Line of Control.

 

The rally was marked by a strong sense of patriotism, with students adorning their bicycles with national flags. Officials from all departments and teachers, also holding tricolor flags, joined the event, reflecting the community’s commitment to national pride and unity.

 

Deputy Commissioner expressed his sentiments, stating, “Today’s rally is a testament to the unwavering spirit of our youth and their dedication to the values of our nation. It is a privilege to witness such enthusiasm and patriotism among our students, as they pay tribute to our country and our heroes. Let this event inspire us all to uphold the ideals of freedom and unity.”

The Rally was coordinated by Vijay Kumar, ZEPO Poonch and Darshan Kumar(DRG).
