POONCH TODAY NEWS

POONCH: The horrible state of affairs in the health department shows that the department of utmost public importance is running at the mercy of God.

Blue-eyed employees who have a strong access with the top department officers always manage to get their attachments at the desired place, while others, who have no strong access, are forced to do routine jobs. Some blue-eyed employees who are the masterminds of leaking internal information to outside forces have learned the tricks of the trade well. On the one hand, they used to backstab the department, and on the other hand, they have become experts in managing their choicest postings through illegal attachments in various blocks of the Poonch district. Some employees posted in one block are working from other blocks, and there are no authentic reports about their daily attendance. Similarly, the prestigious Mobile Medical Unit is on a ventilator, as it used to run on paper only. The staff members engaged for the MMU are working in the dialysis unit. What is strange is that two dialysis technicians, four staff nurses, and one M.O. are there to do a few sessions on a particular day only. This clearly shows that those who have a strong access in the department can do anything. Moreover, there is no output from the DIEC unit, as most officials were seen not attending to their duties. What is the output of each and every section of the DIEC unit, including daily attendance of employees posted there for the last few years? Will the CMO Poonch explain? Earlier, the former chief medical officer and the former medical superintendent of Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital were experts in illegal attachments of their blue-eyed employees. Some employees who were posted in Poonch were shifted illegally to block Surankote, and it clearly shows how the system was running in the department. As some low-rank employees are tactfully attached to the mobile medical unit after managing everything, it raises a big question mark for the top department officials. Likewise, in the blocks of Mandi, Surankote, and Mendhar, huge amounts of illegal financial practices under NHM were carried out without any check from the government. It’s high time for the health minister to intervene and order an inquiry into illegal attachments of blue-eyed employees in the entire district and against those who remained part and parcel of massive illegal practices under different schemes.
